About the Session
안녕하세요! My English name is Rohan but you can call me Yoon Ssam or just Ssam [ssem]. I have a varied experience in teaching Korean, and I’ve worked with diverse learners for many years. My background includes planning and delivering lessons to children and adults. I give instructions in General Korean, Business Korean, Job Interview Practice, Exam Preparations, among others —all with the aim of helping students achieve their goals. In my 1 on 1 session, I make sure that students feel heard and understood. I share in a manner that encourage them to speak without the fear of making mistakes. Essentially, I center my attention towards the class’ objectives while taking into consideration my buddy’ level and preference. Talk to you soon! 안녕!
Really enjoyed my sessions with Ssam! He’s super patient and explains grammar in a way that actually makes sense. Sometimes the internet connection wasn’t perfect on my end but he was always understanding about it. My Korean definitely improved a lot over the 3 months we worked together.
I’ve tried group classes before but never made much progress. The one-on-one format with Jung Hyun was a game changer – he quickly figured out my weak spots and focused on those areas. His teaching style is relaxed but structured, and I love that he remembers details from previous lessons.
Jung Hyun (Yoon Ssam) was exactly what I needed to prepare for my job interview at a Korean company. He tailored every session to business Korean and even did mock interviews with me. His feedback was super detailed and he always adjusted the pace based on my schedule. I got the job and honestly couldn’t have done it without his help!
